In this IMG activity, the activity "walks you through" creating a transport request for report program variants.
This is necessary, since the previous IMG activity, 'Maintain Supplemental Report', could contain a variant that you want the report program (custom or SAP delivered) to execute with. The variant must be maintained in your SAP development landscape to be transported to your SAP productive landscape.
This allows you to create the variant in your SAP development landscape, for testing, then maintain the IMG activity, Maintain Supplemental Reports, with your new variant, then transport the IMG table entries and your new variant to your productive SAP system.
