In this IMG activity, you can specify the SAP unit of measure that represents the conditions required for reporting quantities to the MMS.
The MMS (Minerals Management Service) requires the reporting of unit of measures, according to MMS product code, with specific conditions of pressure base, temperature, and water saturation. Here, you can specify the SAP unit of measure that represents the MMS conditions for each PRA major product code. If your SAP system does not contain a unit of measure which represents the MMS required conditions, it will be necessary to first define the unit of measure.
If your company is using the Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) translation tables functions, these reporting unit of measures are used to convert PRA-valued unit of measures to the MMS required unit of measures, using QCI functions. If your company does not use QCI, the pressure base ratio method will be used to convert quantities using these specified unit of measures.
For gas-related products, it is necessary to define the reporting unit of measures for volume (MCF), heat value (BTU), and energy (MMBTU).

In this activity, on the Display View MMS-2014: Reporting Units of Measure: Overview screen, you can view the list of major product codes, dimensions, and reporting units of measure. To add your unit of measure for each major product code for each dimension, select Change/Display, and then New Entries.
Note that when you select New Entries, the entries will appear in white, indicating that you can maintain them. However, you can only maintain the entries for reporting agency "MMS", and report "2014".
Make your entries and then select Save.
