Use

If PDM is to be used with products that are not SAP ERP systems, this business add-in (BADI) is needed, to ensure that all data is kept in sync.

Requirements

NO implicit COMMITs are executed within the BADI. Implicit commits will lead to a change in program flow/logic. Since the BADI does not support implicit commits triggered from the primary R/3 storage location, it is best to assume a commit during each execution in the remote databases. For rollback purposes, an undo log needs to be created and managed within the BADI or remote database.
