Use
In this activity, you set up the sequence to be used for the data storage locations.
Once the database connections have been set up, it is necessary to determine the sequence of the storage locations. It is very important that the servers (boxes) that have been designated as holding historical data are correctly represented in the system. For this reason, the following is very important.
- Even though this was not set up in the previous step, the primary SAP system must be entered in this customizing activity, in the table, and must have 'default' enterd as the databae connection name.
- The sequence of the boxes must be from most current data to oldest data, in ascending order of sequence number . For example, assume there are three boxes in the PDM landscape, the current (DEFAULT) box must have the lowest sequence number, and the box which will hold the oldest data must have the highest sequence number.
