In this IMG activity, you can maintain the number ranges for business associates. You should maintain a number range interval for external numbering, as well as internal numbering (as the options in your system).
An internal number range is a number range assigned by the system. An external number range is a number range that you enter, and it is validated in the system (against the appropriate vendor or customer number range).
- If the number range is internal, the next number is automatically produced by the system.
- If the number range is external, the system will take the number range that you entered, and determine whether the number range that was entered is in the range, and if it exists. If it is in the range and if it exists, it is ok, if not, the system will display an error message.
