In this step, you create the customer wage type that will be used in your system to define the exchange rate of hours into amounts for employees participating in a sick leave pool for amounts.
The wage type will be used for all employees particpating in amount pools. Only one exchange range is used per employee. That means that donation/withdrawals to home or foreign pools or to/from other persons have all the same exchange rate, defined on the employee level. This allows you to define an exchange rates on the employee level.
The exchange rate (hourly rate) for the employee is maintained in the wage type. The system will look for the wage type in infotype 0014 (Recur. Payments/Deds.) first. If the wage type is not maintain in infotype 0014, then system will go to infotype 0008 (Basic Pay) looking for the wage type. The process can not be going on without the proper configuration.
