Activities
In this step, you perform settings for each absence pool that was created or maintained in the previous step. To this end, perform the following procedure.
Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
On the subsequent screen, select the first absence pool for which data is to be administered, then choose Details.
Note If only one absence pool exists in your system, then you will access the detailed view directly.
Specify the following entries for the absence pool at hand.
Under Low Watermark, enter the low watermark that will apply to this absence pool.
Under Min. Balance, enter the minimum personal leave balance that that all participants in the absence leave pool are required to possess.
In the Eligibility section, if you like, select the checkbox Full-Time EEs Only to limit participation in this absence pool to full-time employees. If desired, you can also limit participation by seniority; to this end, specify in the Months of Service field the minimum number of service months that otherwise eligible employees must possess to participate. Finally, if you wish to do so, specify the Calculation process that will be applied to calculate the employment period.
By the same token, in the Withdrawal Limits section, define (if necessary) the minimum withdrawal and maximum withdrawal that apply to this absence pool.
Finally, in the Return Options section, you may perform two optional settings that determine how the system will return balances of unused donations to the original donor(s).
If desired, you may select the Rtn to Inactive checkbox to instruct the system to return balances of unused donations (or portions thereof) to donor employees whose employment status has since become inactive.
In the Return Increment field, if desired, you may specify the increment of time, in minutes, that the system will apply to round down and return to donor employees any balances of unused leave that remain in direct donations.
When you have finished performing the corresponding settings, choose Save, then Back.
Repeat all activities in step 3. until you have maintained the attributes for each remaining absence pool to configure.
