Appointment type is held in infotype 0016. The table for contract types, T547V, must be configured to hold the appointment types. If the appointment type is of a limited term, this should be selected in the configuration of that entry of the table. Then the following data is contained in infotype 0016:
1. Appointment type in contract type.
2. Appointment begin date in infotype start date.
3. Appointment end date in contract end date.
Example
Example 1. Appointment type "Career" is not limited term. We select a two character code for the appointment type, and make a table entry with the following entries:
Contract type: FA (our selected code; could be any two characters that are not yet used)
Contract type-text: Career
Fixed-term contract: not checked (since there is no limit to the appointment)
Example 2. Appointment type "Competitive Non-Permanent" is a limited term appointment. We select a two character code for the appointment type, and make a table entry with the following entries:
Contract type: FB (our selected code; could be any two characters that are not yet used)
Contract type-text: Competitive Non-Perm
Fixed-term contract: checked (since there is a limit to the appointment)
