Use
In this activity, you enter and maintain pay rate determinants in the Reason field for the Basic Pay (0008) and Higher Duty Allowance (0509) infotypes.
For example, you can assign the entry 6 to the Basic Pay infotype (0008) to denote a special rate for an employee. The text you enter here will subsequently appear as selection options for the field Reason for Changing Master Data (PREAS).
Some examples of Pay Rate Determinants are:
0: Used for all employees, regardless of pay system, who receive a scheduled rate and for whom none of the other PRD codes apply.
5: For employees who are recruited due to their qualification in selected occupations and locations and who get paid at a superior qualification within a special rate range. PRD 5 is used when PRD 6 (special rate) and PRD 7 (superior qualification) are both applicable.
6: For employees who are recruited due to their qualification in selected occupations and locations and get paid at a special rate.
7: For employees who are recruited due to their qualification in selected occupations and locations and get paid at a pay rate above the minimum rate of the grade.
A: For employees who retain grade for a 2-year period, but are occupying a different position from that which was held before the grade reduction.
B: Similar to A, except for employees who keep the same position held before the grade reduction
E: For employees who retain grade for a 2-year period and are entitled to a special rate in the retained grade, but are occupying a different position held before the grade reduction.
F: Similar to E, except for employees who keep the same position held before the grade reduction.
