In this step, you review the occupational categories to be used within your jurisdiction for EEO-4 and EEO-5 reporting purposes. If necessary, you may add new categories in this step to supplement the original ones.
Standard settings
As delivered, the standard system features twenty-six pre-defined occupational categories, which correspond to the categories established by the EEOC for reporting purposes. Of these, eight categories are reserved for EEO-4 reporting, while the remaining eighteen are used for EEO-5 reporting.
Prerequisites
To execute EEO Reporting in the standard system, you must assign the pre-defined occupational categories to the jobs within your jurisdiction, rather than additional occupational categories that you may later create.
For EEO-4 Reporting, you must assign only categories 41 through 48 to your jurisdiction's jobs. For EEO-5 Reporting, assign only categories 51 through 59 and 5A through 5I.
However, if your jurisdiction requires additional occupational categories for other purposes, then you may add those categories in this step.
