Use
In this step, you define a complete list of the codes that will be used in your workplace to keep track of its employees' professional credentials. The codes defined in this step are a combination of the classifications, areas and levels that you defined in the prior three steps.
Requirements
Before you may execute this step, you are required to have defined the corresponding classifications, areas and levels in the prior three steps.
Standard settings
Activities
Execute this step.
On the subsequent screen, for each code to be defined, enter a one- to four-character identifier of your choosing in the Code column.
For each identifier you enter, specify the corresponding classification in the adjacent column.
In the next column, specify the corresponding professional area in the Area column.
In the following column, specify the corresponding level.
In the final two columns, specify the validity dates that apply to the code you have created.
Save your entries, then exit this step.
Example
By combining the classifications, areas and levels defined in the prior three steps, you could define codes in this step as shown below.
Code - Classif. - Area - Level - Valid From - End Date - Area AC01 - Academic - ACCT - 9-12 - 01/01/1900 - 12/31/9999 - Accounting PS01 - Vocational - SHOP - 9-12 - 01/01/1900 - 12/31/9999 - Machine Shop
These two codes would identify, respectively, certified accounting teachers and machine shop instructors.
The codes defined here ultimately identify - within employee records of the Certification and Licensing infotype (0795) - the duty assignments that employees are authorized to perform. {These duty assignments, in turn, are recorded in employee records of the Duty Assignments infotype (0796).} In the Certification and Licensing infotype (0795), these codes are indicated within the Code field of employee records.
