By law, veterans how are disabled or who served on active duty in the Armed Forces during certain specified time periods or in military campaigns are entitled to preference over others in hiring from competitive lists of eligibles and also in retention during reductions in force.
Veterans Preference entries are to be customer maintained and should be entered using this IMG step. The values for Veterans Preference are stored in P0077-MILSA using a two character numeric value. These values come from the table vew 'V_T505M'. The table entries listed below as examples should be used instead of the system delivered values.
