In this step, you maintain three payroll constants that correspond to the annual limits on employee contributions to savings plans established under Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code.

This step consists of three activities. In the first activity, you review the percentage of the compensation that is used in calculation of the limit. In the second activity, you review the contribution limit for Section 457 plans at your organization. Finally, in the third activity, you review the catch-up contribution limit for these plans.

Activities

  1. Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
  2. Select the first activity:
    • Maintain compensation percent. for limit calculation

  1. Review the current percentage for the limit calculation on Section 457 plans.
  2. If this percentage has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the percentage, then select Save.

  1. Select the second activity:
    • Maintain regular contribution limit

  1. Review the current contribution limit.
  2. If this limit has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the new contribution limit, then select Save.

  1. Select the third activity:
    • Maintain catch-up contribution limit

  1. Review the current catch-up contribution limit.
  2. If this limit has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the new combined contribution limit, then select Save.
