In this step, you maintain payroll constants that correspond to the annual limits on employee contributions to savings plans established under Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code.
This step consists of several activities. In the first activity, you determine if your organization is eligible for the 402(g) exceptions. In the second activity, you review the percentage of the compensation that is used in calculation of the limit. In the third activity, you review the employee pre-tax contribution limit for Section 403(b) plans at your organization. Finally, in the fourth activity, you review the overall contribution limit for these plans.

Activities
- Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
- Select the first activity:
- Eligibility for 402(g) exception
This constant is to determine if employees in your organizations are eligible for making additional contributions once they have served in your organization for more than 15 years. If they are eligible, the value of this constant is '1'; otherwise, the value is '0'.
- Select the second activity:
- Maintain compensation percent. for limit calculation
Review the current percentage for the limit calculation on Section 403(b) plans.
If this percentage has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the percentage, then select Save.
- Select the third activity:
- Maintain EE pre-tax contr. limit
This constant saves the employee pre-tax contribution limit. The limit is also known as the 402(g) limit (402(g) refers to Internal Revenue Code Section 402(g)).
If this limit has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the new contribution limit, then select Save.
- Select the fourth activity:
- Maintain total contribution limit
This constant saves the employee total contribution limit. The limit is also known as the 415(c) limit (415(c) refers to Internal Revenue Code Section 415(c)).
If this limit has changed, delimit the current entry, enter the new combined contribution limit, then select Save.
