Use
This step enables you to determine totals value types.
You can use totals value types to calculate totals for existing postings in processing control. The creation of totals value types is indirectly dependent on the used processing schedule, which means that each processing schedule is assigned to a schedule modifier and that totals value types are defined depending on this schedule modifier.
Requirements
You have already defined value types and processing schedules.
Activities
- Determine schedule modifiers
Use this view to determine the schedule modifiers you want to use.
- Determine assignment of processing schedule to schedule modifier
Assign a schedule modifier to each processing schedule.
If different processing schedules use the same schedule modifier, the creation of totals value types is identical for these schedules. - Define totals value types
Define the totals value types:
- In the Totals Value Type field, specify the value type in which the total must be stored.
- In the Value Type field, specify the value types to be included in the total.
Example
You want to define totals value type BT00. Value types BT05 and BT10 must be included in the total. Use the Totals Value Types view to create two entries:
Totals value type Value type Plus/minus sign
BT00 BT05 positive
BT00 BT10 positive
Operation ES enables you to form the totals value type in the processing schedule.
