Use
This activity enables you to determine how a physical account in Financial Accounting is determined for a symbolic account. Using the matchcode, you can determine the matchcode of the physical account to be posted when data is posted to customer or vendor accounts.
Requirements
You have performed the Define Symbolic Accounts activity and defined the required symbolic accounts.
Activities
Call the activity in change mode. For each symbolic account, select an entry from input help to determine how accounts are determined in Financial Accounting:
- Using the assignment from the symbolic to the physical account
- Using search terms
If you need a physical account to have a fixed assignment to a symbolic account, use input help to select the No Entry value.
Possible matchcode determinations.
Example
Contributions may be posted to customer accounts. You can determine the search term for the customer account using a feature for the employee's organizational assignment.
