Use

This activity enables you to determine a standard printer that can be jointly used by all ESS scenarios.

To create SAPscript output, a printer name must be specified. When universal evaluations are created, this prerequisite is normally met by the user selecting a printer in the appropriate dialog box.

If you perform this activity to specify the printer name as a parameter, the ESS scenario can be started without a dialog box appearing for you to enter a printer. The ESS scenario always runs in the print preview, which means that no output is generated on paper and the printer is merely used to format output.

Activities

  1. Perform the activity, and enter the required country grouping and subapplication PF.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. Use the input help function for the Application area field to select the value Standard printer for ESS scenarios.
  4. In the Value field, enter an existing printer.
  5. Save your entries.
