In this step, you specify the plan version in which you want to maintain your data. In other words, the active plan version.

Warning

Careful consideration is necessary when deciding which is to be the active plan version for the following reasons:

  • For the purposes of integration, the active plan version in all PD modules is simultaneously the integration plan version. Thus, it is not necessary to set a new plan version each time you implement a new application component.
  • If either the active or the integration plan version is changed at a later date in any of the PD modules, this could lead to data inconsistencies in other areas, and cause potentially serious problems.

Requirements

You should have previously defined the required plan versions in the step Maintain Plan Versions.

Standard settings

The standard SAP system does not contain a preset active plan version.

Activities

Enter the plan version you wish to use as the active one both for the different PD modules and for integration purposes in the "value abbr." field of the parameter group "PLOGI PLOGI".
