In this step, you make the system settings required for creating subtypes for infotypes.
You can create subtypes for standard infotypes and for customer-specific infotypes. In both cases, you must assign a time contraint to either the subtypes or the infotypes.

Note
You can create 4-digit numeric subtypes ranging from "9000" through "9999".
Recommendation
Relationships are special subtypes of the "Relationship" infotype. Since special care has to be taken when setting up subtypes for this infotype, this function is dealt with in a separate step. For this reason, you should always create relationships beforehand by working through the step Maintain relationships.
Activities
- Create the additional subtypes you require for the infotypes in question.
- Define an appropriate time constraint for every subtype.
