In this step, you define default values for teaching hours.

You define default values by assigning a number of mandatory weekly teaching hours to a pay scale group for a specific validity period.

This means that, when you define teaching hours for a position, this default value can be derived automatically from the pay scale classification of the position.

Example

If a position is classified as a pay scale 4 position, eight mandatory teaching hours should be proposed for it.

Activities

To define default values, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Specify a Pay scale group.
  3. Specify a Validity period.
  4. In the Hours field, enter the number of mandatory teaching hours per week that you want to have proposed for a position of the pay scale group and validity period in question.
  5. Choose Save.
