In this step, you define default values for the names of budget structure elements of a particular budget structure element type.

These budget structure element names can be used in HR Funds and Position Management to give budget structure elements language-specific names based on various factors. They are, however, used only as default values (that is, users can still give the budget structure elements names of their choice).

Requirements

You have already created budget structure element types in the IMG step Define Budget Structure Element Types.

Activities

To define names for budget structure elements, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the Language key (L) and Budget structure element type to which the budget structure element name is to be assigned.
  2. Specify a validity period.
  3. In the Number field, enter a sequential number for the budget structure element name so that it can be identified uniquely among the budget structure element types of the section of the overall budget in question.
  4. Specify the Object abbreviation and Object name that you want to have proposed as default values.
  5. Choose Save.
