In this step, you define and generate the required payroll infotypes.

When payroll infotypes are generated, the entries for the structure are made in the database, and the infotype-specific screens 2000 and 3000 are created, along with the evaluation wage type fields. To be able to use the infotype after you have defined and generated it, the status must be left on active. Only in this way, can the infotype be filled with data.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the following infotypes:

Infotype     Meaning

0402     Payroll results: periodic values

0403     Payroll results: periodic values

0458     Monthly cumulations

0459     Quarterly cumulations

0460     Annual cumulations

0446-0457     Various tax cumulations for the USA

These infotypes have the same structure. The only differences between them are the predefined wage types. You can set the predefined infotypes to active or even create new infotypes.

Activate infotypes

  1. Place the cursor on Payroll infotypes.
  2. Select the infotype(s) you want to activate.
  3. Choose Generate.
  4. Set all your chosen infotypes to active.
  5. Save your entries.

Create, generate and activate new infotypes

Create infotype

  1. Select an entry and choose copy or New entries.
  2. Maintain the fields that are ready for input.
  3. Save your entries and change to the initial screen.

Maintain the evaluation wage types for each newly entered infotype:

  1. Select one entry at a time.
  2. Place the cursor on Assign evaluation wage types.
  3. Choose New entries.
  4. Maintain the fields that are ready for input.
  5. Save your entries and go to the initial screen.

Generate the infotype

  1. Place the cursor on Payroll infotypes.
  2. Save your entries.
  3. Select your chosen payroll infotype.
  4. Choose Generate.

Activate infotpye

  1. Set all your chosen infotypes to active.
  2. Save your entries.
