Use
In this IMG activity, you define the link between individual selection criteria and rules that the system uses to select employees as part of the calculation for the time employees spend in special working conditions.
You also assign the valuation model to a calculation process that the reports for the Pension Fund use to access the data in the valuation models. If you make changes to the valuation models and selection objects, you must assign them to the calculation process for the Pension Fund, RUPF.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains the following valuation models, which you can use as a template for creating your own valuation models.
Valuation Model Description
RUV3 Regional working conditions
RUV5 Special working conditions - long service
RUV6 Special working conditions - calculated seniority
RUV7 Hazardous working conditions
RUVK Parental leave
RUVP Maternity leave
Activities
You set up the valuation models and selection rules that the system uses to assign employees to special working conditions in Customizing for Personnel Management, by choosing Personnel Administration -> Evaluation Basis -> Calculation of Employment Period.
Define Selection Criteria
To take into consideration periods of absence when it calculates the time an employee spends in special working conditions, the system uses selection conditions (RUV*) for a type of absence.
The system uses this data when it processes absences. For example, an employee works in hazardous conditions from January through August and is absent for the whole of April. The system uses the link between the absence type in the Absences infotype (2001) and the period during which the employee works in hazardous conditions to exclude April from the total time the employee spends in hazardous conditions.
You enter the subtype in which you store individual absences, for example, for maternity leave, in the IMG activity Determine Selection Criteria for Infotypes.
Define Selection Exit
To enable the system to read data about the employees' working times in different working conditions, a function module reads the data for given type of working conditions.
For more information about the selection exist, see Define Selection Exit and for details of the Russia-specifc selection exits and their selection rules, see Additional Information About Selection Exits.
Define Selection Rules
In this step, you define the rules for each valuation model that the system uses to determine which employee the system selects to calculate the employment period for special working conditions. For more information, see Define Selection Rule.
Define Selection Class
In this step, you create selection classes for your valuation models. The selection class groups together a set of selection rules that are evaluated in the same way. For more information, see Define Selection Class.
Define Valuation Model
To determine how the system evaluates employee data about time spent in special working conditions, the system uses a valuation model. If required, you can create your own valuation models. You assign each selection class that you create above to valuation models.
For more information, see Define Valuation Model.
Define Calculation Process
To enable the system to calculate an employee's employment period, the system uses calculation process RUPF for reporting to the Russian Pension Fund. For more information, see Define Calculation Process.
Define Process Steps
The calculation process comprises process steps that enable the system to calculate employment periods related to special working conditions. The system also uses process steps to calculate periods of absence when employees work in special working conditions. For more information, see Define Process Step.
Assign Valuation Model and Rounding Rule to Process Step
Since the result of valuation model and processing step calculations must be in days, months, and years, you use a rounding rule to change the employment period calculation to this format.
For more information, see Assign Valuation Model and Rounding Rule to Process Step.
