In this step, you maintain the feature that defines which date is considered as entry date for different purposes like seniority, for example, in different situations like re-hiring, legal person change and so on.
The entry date is then determined in accordance with the following list of rules in order of priorities
- If the DATYP date type has been specified in the ENTRY feature, and if the Date specifications (infotype 0041) contain a record of this date type, the entry date is determined.
- If the EINDT indicator in the ENTRY feature determines that the initial entry date field must be read in Contract elements (infotype 0016), or if KONDT indicator has been set for the entry into company field, the lower of these dates (if available) is interpreted as the entry date.
- Otherwise, data is taken into account from Actions (infotype 0000) and possibly Organizational assignment (infotype 0001) in accordance with the settings in the ENTRY feature, and the lower date is interpreted as the entry date. This date is compiled in accordance with the following rule:
Irrespective of the ENTRY feature, the start date of the first record of Actions (infotype 0000) with employment status 3 (active) is taken into account:
- If the RENTE indicator has been set in the ENTRY feature, the start dates of the records of Actions (infotype 0000) with employment status 2 (retired) are also taken into account.
- If the REENT indicator has been set in the ENTRY feature, employees who re-enter the company are taken into account in Actions (infotype 0000). All previous entry dates are ignored.
- If the JUPER indicator has been set in the ENTRY feature, changes of legal person are also taken into account in Organizational Assignment (infotype 0001).
