In this step, the USS Interface uses all Wage Types customised in the Base Wage Type Valuation table (T539J) for module ANSAL and Wage Type (Grouping) USAL. Where USAL is the pre-delivered customising Wage Type, but could be ANY wage type you wish. The Wage Type used to read the Base Wage Type Valuation table (T539J) with is derived using the feature GSALC. Then the wage types are used to derive the employees Salary.

Most universities will only have ONE Salary Calculation used for the USS Salary Changes interface and will ONLY have to add their standard salary wage types in the Base Wage Type Valuation table (T539J) to module ANSAL and Wage Type (Grouping) USAL.
