In this step, the Number Range that is used by the Salary Changes interface is initialised.

The Salary Changes Interface is monitored by the creation of a Control Record every time the interface is run in "Live" mode. The control record is keyed using the Interface Type (S), Interface Year (????) and a sequential generated unique number. This number is taken from the Number Range Object P08_USSC and the Number Range Interval 02 from 5000000000 to 9999999999. This Number Range Interval must be set up in each client that the interface is to be run in. The Current Number should be set to 5000000001 when the system goes live and NOT manually changed from then on. The Control Files can be viewed using transaction SM30 and view V_P08P_USSC.
