Use
Pay scale reclassification allows you to update the information on the pay scale group and pay scale level in the Basic Pay infotype (0008). The data is updated automatically when a situation meriting a reclassification arises for a specific employee.
Requirements
You should 'Specify Pay Scale Reclassification' criteria in the standard system based on age, length of time at the enterprise, or amount of time worked in the view V_T510_PSRCL (Pay Scale Reclassification).
If required, further distinctions between the reclassification criteria used for evaluation can be made with the feature PRVAR (Reclassification Key for Table T510_PSRCL). In accordance with additional organizational and employee-related criteria, you can define a three-character alphanumeric return code as a variable argument to Refine Reclassification Conditions. With this code the system reads the view V_T510_PSRCL ( Pay Scale Reclassification).
To carry out a pay scale reclassification for your employees based on hours worked, variable balances table (table VS) and the cummulated variable balances table (table CVS) are evaluated and the cummulated hours worked are compared with the value limits that you defined in the view V_T510_PSRCL (Pay Scale Reclassification). Reaching the limit values triggers a pay scale reclassification. The standard SAP system contains the sample personnel calculation rule TTIG, but you can Define New Rules For Determining Time Worked.
Standard settings
The report 'Pay Scale Reclassification' (RPIPSR00) evaluates your entries and generates a batch input session with new data records for 'Basic Pay' infotype (0008).
BAdI 'Pay Scale Reclassification' (HRCMP00_PS_RECL) is used to influence that the system generates the records of 'Basic Pay' infotype (0008) in accordance with 'Bar point information' infotype (0648) for a pay scale reclassification.
To perform this processing, specific for Public Sector customers in Great Britain, in the context of a pay scale reclassification, a filter value 'GBPBS_BAR' was created for BAdI HRCMP00_PS_RECL in Compensation Management Customizing in table 'Table of Filter Values for the BAdI for Pay Scale Reclass.' (T510_PSRCL_FV). Using the feature PSRCL (User Exit for Pay Scale Reclassification) this value has been assigned to the employees with country grouping '08'. BAdI implementation 'Bar point checking for promotion process - GB Public Sector' (HRPBSGB_BAR_POINT) has been created for this filter value. The correspondence between 'Bar point information' infotype (0648) and reclassification data records for 'Basic Pay' infotype (0008) is checked in method AFTER_RECLASSIFICATION.
