This switch is used globally through out ALL Multiple Employment processes. It is the HIGHEST level switch that must be activated to start using the Multiple Employment solution.
However, there are various other parts of the Multiple Employment solution can be activated using other switches, but they are only interrogated if this switch is active. (i.e. The Multiple Employment Single Payslip solution.)
Example
Setting this switch to 'X' will automatically activate the Multiple Employment solution throughout HR and Payroll.
Requirements
Standard settings
This switch is delivered as inactive.
In NON_PRODUCTIVE clients it is possible for the switch to be set at user level. Using transaction SU01, you can amend the parameters of your "Own Data". Add the Parameter HR_GB_ME and set the value to 'X'. This will allow you to activate the functionality on user level without having to activate it for ALL users. (But remember to activate it for ALL users via the Global Switch on T5GPBS_ALL once you are happy with the solution during UAT.)

Activities
Activate this switch if you wish to activate the Multiple Employment solution, but make sure that you have read the limitations outlined for the the Multiple Employment solution in this IMG chapter and also the section in this IMG chapter on SAP Best Practice.
