In this step, you define types of birth for each personnel subarea grouping for attendance/absence types. According to the type of birth, you can define different periods and absence durations for the maternity protection infotype (0080), under Define maternity protection periods.
The types of birth can be defined by the user.

  1. Decide on the personnel subarea groupings for attendance/absence types for which you want to define birth types.
  2. Define the types of birth for each grouping. Use alphanumeric characters as indicators.
