In this step you define an event menu which appears when the user selects the Applicant actions function in Recruitment.
The menu can be defined according to the user group (user parameter UGR).
If there are no entries in the table for the user group or if the user has failed to maintain his/her user group, the system assigns a so-called reference user group which is used to set up the menu.
Example
You want to add your own applicant action to the menu or set up a menu of personnel actions for a group of users.
Requirements
You must already have checked the existing applicant actions and created any others you require.
Standard settings
The Applicant actions function is assigned to action menu "40". The action menu is user group dependent. The values for the user groups correspond to the country groupings.
Activities
- User group dependency of the action menu
- Select menu type "M" and menu "40" for applicant actions.
- Determine whether the menu is to be user group dependent.
- If applicable, determine the system response if the user has not maintained the user group or if there are no entries in the menu.
- Assign a reference user group which can be used for setting up the menu if necessary.
- Actions in the action menu
- Select menu type "M" and menu "40" for applicant actions.
- Make the new entries for the user group.
Further notes
Notes on creating batch input sessions:
When sessions are being run in the background you cannot set user parameters. Therefore, if you want to assign the batch input session to a particular user group, this value must be the same as that of the reference user group. If this is not the case, the system will access a different event.
We recommend that you access the action using transaction "PB30" instead of "PB40". Enter the key for the action in the subtype field and assign the function code for "Create".
