As the central entity of the request administration, each request type is of a particular category, which defines the attributes of a request.
Additionally, a request type has a points processing mode, which defines how points are handled by the request.

Select the benefit area.
Choose New entries.
Define the request type and its description.
For the request type you just created, you need to further define:
Request category
Processing mode
Account type
The processing mode A has no relationship with points, that means, you do not need to create points account if the request type is created by using this processing mode. In the field Account type, leave it blank.
If the request type is created by using any of the other three modes B, P or Q, then points will be charged for such a request. You need to assign a point account to the request type. Choose one account type.
Mark the flag BDC for the request if you want to allow the batch input creation for this request type.
