In this step, you set up F4 help selection criteria (per salary component) which appear in the Category field of the Salary packaging screen.
Example
For the salary component External Annuity (EANN), the following categories have been up:
SP Special contribution 6,000
ST Standard contribution 3,000
Category SP and ST are therefore the only contribution options available for the salary component EANN. Therefore, the option in the Input setting field in the Salary packaging: Salary components table was set to Amount off - Percentage off.
Activities
- In the Sal. comp field, enter the salary component code.
- In the Category field, enter a category code, with the corresponding text in the Category text field.
- In the New amt. and New perc fields, enter the amount or percent valid for the category.
Note
By setting the F4 help categories to an amount or a percentage (as indicated in the New amt. and New perc. fields, you can determine that only those categories are valid for that specific salary component. In such a case (as indicated in the example above) set the indicator in the Input setting field in the Salary packaging: Salary components table accordingly.
