In this step, you set SARS cumulation codes to your Basic Pay wage types.
For every Basic Pay wage type, you must specify only one SARS code. This determines how the earning will be treated for taxation and therefore, how it appears on the IRP5.
For all model wage types, the SARS cumulations have already been set according to SARS guidelines.
Requirements
You must create the wage types before you perform this action.
Activities
- Open the IRP5 wage type table.
- Choose 'Details'.
- Choose 'Next entry' to scroll through wage types and select the wage type in question.
- Select the appropriate cumulation to the wage type.
- Save the entry.
Example
For the model wage type M103 Entertainment Allowance, the cumulation has been set to 3706 Entertainment Allowance.
