In this step, you assign the absence processing indicator for STD/LTD plans to a valuation rule. You also assign the valuation rules you created inCheck split payment valuation rules for STD/LTD plans to the sick pay periods of the STD/LTD plan to which they correspond. In a second step, you set a modifier (KMODI5) for your employee subgroupings.This modifier is referenced in the table in the first part of this step (second column of the table).

Example

For 'paid sickness', the following split valuations apply:

  • 100% paid in the first period (valuation rule 30)
  • 75% paid in the second sick pay period (valuation rule 31)
  • 100% unpaid in the third sick pay period (valuation rule 39)

Before you proceed with the activities below, verify that MODIF A is correctly set for absence evaluation processing.

Activities

  1. In the first step, make the settings you require in the table. See the example above for sample entries.
  2. In the second step, define your sick pay groupings for each employee subgrouping by maintaining KMODI 5. The value you enter here is used in the table in the first part of this step to differentiate sick pay groupings.
