SAP delivers the tax forms preconfigured for the most part, so that you should only need to adjust the configuration of the forms in rare cases. Form W-2 is one such exception. See the link below for instructions on how to configure the Form W-2.
If you should need to make any adjustments to the delivered forms, see the procedures described below:
Defining general attributes of the tax form
Configuring the fields that appear on your form
Specifying how your tax form data is output
Defining the magnetic media form structure
Entering FEIN and SUI Employer Account Numbers on the SUI form
On the Change View "Tax form definitions": Overview screen, select the tax form and choose Details.
On the details screen, make the necessary entries to appropriately define your form.
To configure the form fields:
On the Change View "Tax form definitions": Overview screen, select the tax form and choose Tax form fields.
On the screen that appears, select a tax form field, and choose Details.
On the details screen, make the necessary entries to define your field. For information on what to enter in the fields of this screen, refer to field help.
Save.
Repeat Steps 1-5 for each field of your form.
To determine how your tax form data is output:
On the Change View "Tax form definitions": Overview screen, select your form and choose Issuing of tax forms.
Select the relevant tax form or magnetic media format record and choose Details.
On the details screen, specify the aggregation level at which the data for the tax form is to be selected.
Save.
Repeat Steps 1-4 for each form to be printed, and/or magnetic media format record required on your tape or diskette.
To define your magnetic media form structure:
On the Change View "Tax form definitions": Overview screen, select your form and choose Magnetic tape structure.
Select an event record and choose Details.
On the details screen, enter the information necessary to appropriately configure the record.
Save.
Repeat steps 1-4 for each event record of your magnetic tape that requires configuration.
To enter FEIN and SUI Employer Account Numbers on the SUI form:
On the Change View "Tax form definitions": Overview screen, select the desired form and choose Magnetic tape structure.
Scroll though the fields listed for the form, and select the fields containing either E000 (SUI) or E001 (FEIN) in the Field column and choose Details.
On the screen that appears, you should see E000 or E001 in the Take from field field.
Delete this number and enter the appropriate FEIN or SUI employer account number in the Or directly field.
Save.
To attach PDF forms to the main forms
You can attach PDF forms to the main forms with the option Issue of Tax Forms. For all the forms attached to main form, the system validates the date based on the entries in table T5UX7 that you define in the IMG step Define validity dates and form parameters.
