In this step, you set up the company parameters according to the
organizational structure of your company.

Standard settings

The standard system provides sample company parameters based
on a model company.

Recommendation

Use the sample company parameters provided as a basis for
customizing your company structure.

  • SAP recommends that you only create new company parameters, as
    entries that are maintained in the standard SAP system could be
    overwritten when the release is next updated.
  • SAP recommends that you do not delete or change any of the company
    parameters that are contained in the standard SAP system as this
    could lead to errors when you try to run payroll accounting.

Activities

To create new company parameters by copying samples from the
standard system, proceed as follows:

  1. Note the specifications required for the relevant company
    parameters.
  2. Make a copy of the selected sample company parameters.
  3. Edit the company parameters to suit your requirements.
  4. Check that all the company parameters displayed on the list are
    copied correctly.
  5. The new company parameters are now copied. A list is generated
    logging the changes to all tables affected.
