In this step, you can define wage type dependent tax rate for the employees. The table specifies the wage type tax rate of residents' and non-residents' special income, for example; income from commission or rental.
The tax rate is taken from the Reference Table issued by the tax bureau.
Example
For wage type, /104, an employee who is a resident has a taxable amount of 20% (tax rate) of his income (any amount as 'Taxable Upon' field is blank).
Standard settings
Values that are commonly used have already been maintained in the SAP standard delivery system. You can use these as models for your own entries.
1 - Resident Blank - Non-resident
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you only create new wage type dependent tax rate, as entries that are maintained in the standard SAP system could be overwritten when the release is next updated.
SAP recommends that you do not delete or change any of the wage type dependent tax rate that are contained in the standard SAP system as this could lead to errors when you try to run payroll accounting.
Activities
To check and if necessary, create new wage type dependent tax rate by copying samples from the standard system, proceed as follows:
Note the specifications required for the relevant wage type dependent tax rate.
Make a copy of the selected wage type dependent tax rate.
Edit the wage type dependent tax rate to suit your requirements.
Check that all the new sample wage type dependent tax rate displayed on the list are copied correctly.
The data is now copied. A list is generated logging the changes to all tables affected.
