In this step, you define the tax withholding table for your company.
This table defines the taxable amount of an employee based on the
number of family dependents and taxable income.

The tax withholding table is issued by the tax bureau as a booklet to
companies for reference. It is usually updated annually.

Standard settings

The standard SAP system contains the relevant data in the tax
withholding table required for your company.

Activities

To check and if necessary, create new tax withholding table by
copying samples from the standard system, proceed as follows:

  1. Note the specifications required for the relevant wage types.
  2. Make a copy of the selected sample wage types.
  3. Edit the tax withholding table to suit your requirements, for
    example; the validity dates, taxable income and amount.
  4. Check that all the new tax withholding table data displayed on
    the list are copied correctly.
  5. The data is now copied.
    A list is generated logging the changes to all tables affected.
