Use
In this Customizing activity, you restrict the amount of child-care benefits that your employees receive when they care for their children up to the age of 1.5 years. You determine the maximum amount using the following steps in this Customizing activity:
- Define Link Between Wage Types for Maximum Child-Care Benefits
To limit the amount of child-care benefits that employees receive, you link together wage types that store the number of days for which an employee is absent to care for children up to 1.5 years of age with the wage type that stores the maximum amount of child-care benefits. - Define Limits for Absence Payments
To restrict the amount that employees receive when they care for their children up to the age of 1.5, you enter a limit for the wage type in question.
The End Processing of Averages - Russia (RUA3) personnel calculation rule uses the settings that you make in this Customizing activity to determine which wage type contains the maximum amount for child-care benefits and then to limit the child-care benefits that employees receive.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains links for some wage types that you use to store absence payments for child care. If required, create links to your own wage types using the entries shipped as standard as an example.
Activities
Carry out the following activities in the Define Link Between Wage Types for Maximum Child-Care Benefits step:
- In the first Wg Type column, enter the pair of wage types that you use to store the number of days for which an employee is absent to care for his or her children up to 1.5 years of age.
One wage type relates to the employee's first child and the other wage type relates to the employee's second and subsequent children. - For each pair of wage types that you enter in the first step in this procedure, enter the wage type that stores the maximum amount of child-care benefits.
The wage type that stores the maximum amount of child-care benefits must be the same for a given pair of wage types that you enter. For example, as follows:

The link between the wage types enables the End Processing of Averages - Russia (RUA3) personnel calculation rule to restrict the amount of child-care benefits that your employees receive in line with legal requirements.
Carry out the following activity in the Define Limits for Absence Payments step:
For each wage type that contains the maximum amount of child-care benefits that employee receive when they care for children up to the age of 1.5 years (see the Define Link Between Wage Types for Maximum Child-Care Benefits step), enter the maximum amount in terms of rubles. The amount that you must enter is defined by law.
