Use
In this Customizing activity, you enter the maximum base amount for calculating social insurance payments, as defined by the authorities per calendar year.
The system calculates the social insurance payments to which employees are entitled by using an employee's earnings in a given calendar year. In line with legislation, the base for calculating social insurance payments must not exceed a certain amount. The system uses the amount that you enter per calendar year in this Customizing activity to cap the base amount for calculating social insurance payments.

Example
The average rule IL10 is customized to determine an employee's earnings in 2010. When the system calculates an employee's social insurance payments, the Calculation of Average after Cumulation: AMT (RUVB) personnel calculation rule reads the maximum base amount for the Limit SI Base for Sickness 2010 (IL10) constant. The personnel calculation rule limits the base amount for calculating social insurance payments to the legally defined amount.
