Use
In this Customizing activity, you store the limits that your employees can receive based on a given absence type. Unlike the previous Customizing activity, Define Constant for Maximum Amount During Sickness, this Cuustomizing activity enables you to define different limits for multiple absence types.
According to Russian law N 183-FZ, the limit for absence benefits depends on the type of absence:
- Absence based on regular sickness certificate
- Maternity leave
You use the wage types in this Customizing activity to store the limits that the system uses when it calculates absence payments (see the documentation for the Postprocessing of Sick Pay (RUA4) personnel calculation rule).
If you do not use this Customizing activity to store the maximum daily amounts for sickness benefits, you can also store the maximum daily amount as a constant in the Customizing activity Define Constant for Maximum Amount During Sickness.
You can store the maximum payment amount for maternity leave in this IMG activity, but use the default constant in the Customizing activity Define Constant for Maximum Amount During Sickness to store the limits for all other absences related to sickness certificates.
When the system determines the limits for absence payments, it takes into consideration any other percentages that apply to an employee#s absence pay.
For example, assume that employees who have less than 5 years' seniority in your company are entitled to 60% of their salary during periods of sickness or maternity leave. To determine the absence pay limit for these employees, the system calculates 60% of the limit that you define in the Customizing activity Define Limits for Absence Payments, too.
Requirements
You have created the wage types that store the limits as copies of the SAP model wage types /0S1 and /0S2 in the Customizing activity Create Wage Type Catalog.
You have checked that the new wage types exist in the Customizing activity Exclude Wage Types for Absence Types.
You have defined the generation of the new wage types for each sickness certificate valuation rule in the Customizing activity Valuate Absences by Constants/Averages.
