In this step you assign the existing wage types for fixed allowances to wage types payable by the Ministry of Defence. You then determine which characteristic of processing class 62 (Creating wages types payable by MinDef related to Fixed Allow) is to initiate the creation of the respective MinDef wage type.

The wage types you assign here will be used for the calculation of refunds for wages paid to National Reserve employees in report RPCNRSR0 (NRS Report for MinDef).

Standard settings

In the SAP standard delivery system, those wage types which can be used as fixed allowances have already been assigned to MinDef wage types. If you want to use these assignments, you must first copy them from client 000 since the table in which they are stored possesses delivery class C.

Activities

Proceed as follows to assign a fixed allowance to a MinDef wage type:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter an alphabetic value for processing class 62.
  3. Enter the allowance wage type in field Wage.
  4. Enter the MinDef wage type in field MDEF WT.
  5. Enter the validity period.

Further notes

  • If you do create a new assignment, you may have to adapt the personnel calculation rule RNS0 (Creating wage types for calculating fixed allowances) accordingly, since this rule controls the creation of wage types for make up payment claims for National Reserve employees. Refer to step 'Check processing,' also this section, for further information.
  • If you create a new assignment, check whether you assigned the same alphabetic value for processing class 62 to the allowance wage type in step 'Check wage types'. If you fail to do this, the respective MinDef wage type that you entered in this step will not be created during the payroll run.
