In this step, you set up the pro-rate types for AWS processing. These will be used in report RPCAWSR0 to determine how bonuses are to be calculated for part-months. To accomplish this, you specify the part amount to be paid depending on whether the event which led to the formation of a part-month period occured before or after the respective month's qualifying date.

Standard settings
The SAP standard delivery system contains sample entries which depict the most common pro-rating types. If you want to use these, you must first copy them from client 000, since the table in which they are stored possesses delivery class C.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you use the entries provided in the standard delivery system. If you create new pro-rate types, you may have to adapt RPCAWSR0 accordingly in order to incorporate them in the bonus calculation.
Activities
Check the entries of the standard delivery system. If you want to change them, proceed as follows:
Select New entries.
Enter a two-digit numeric key which identifies the pro-rate type in the SAP system.
Enter a description.
Specify a validity period.
Set the qualifying dates for hiring and dismissing an employee.
Specify the part amounts to be paid if the event which causes a proration takes place before or after the qualifying date.
