In this step, you set up additional information required to pay leave on termination/redundancy. The information entered for each leave type is used to:
- Define which part of the leave is paid out (entitlement, accrual or both)
- Define whether leave loading is paid out
- Define the minimum number of years an employee must work before leave is paid out
Caution
Leave processing based on Australian leave accruals will be phased out in future releases. You should only configure this step if you are an upgrade customer and have not yet converted your system to leave based on leave and absence quotas in the Personnel Time Management component.
If you are a new customer or an upgrade customer ready to convert to using leave and absence quotas, omit this step and configure the step Set Up Redundancy Rules for Paying Leave Quotas instead.
Requirements
Before you can process leave payments on termination/redundancy, you must define whether the payments are calculated based on leave and absence quotas or on Australian leave accruals. You do this, in the step Set Up Leave Method in the Leave Provisions and Payments section of Customizing for Payroll Australia.
Standard settings
The standard system contains model SAP wage types that you can use or copy.
