In this step, you set up absence types for leave without pay.

To calculate long service pay and severance pay correctly, you must ensure that leave without pay is not included in length of service calculations.

You must have entered redundancy models in the step Create Redundancy Models.

The standard system contains model SAP entries that you can use or copy.

To define the absence types for leave without pay, you can either:

Choose Edit -> New entries, and enter the redundancy model, the personnel subarea grouping for the absence type, the absence type (that is, leave without pay), and the validity period, or
Copy and change the model SAP entry according to your requirements.
