Some employees may not quote a tax file number (TFN) on an employment declaration. This may happen because they do not wish to disclose their TFN, or because they are in the process of applying for a TFN and have stated this on the employment declaration.
Where this is the case, the SAP System enables you to enter default tax file numbers in the the TFN Australia infotype (0227).
Example
You can enter the following codes used by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as default settings identifying employee types:
111111111 Employees without a tax file number
222222222 Employees who have applied for a tax file number
Standard settings
In the standard system, the default tax file number is blank.
Recommendation
If you identify a group of employees requiring a default tax file number, SAP recommends that you modify the settings supplied with the standard system.

Enter the default tax file number against the relevant area.
