In this step, you define the number of previous payroll periods used to calculate an employee's average taxable gross income. The employee's average gross income for these periods is then used to calculate marginal tax on termination payments.

Activities

  1. Flag the model SAP entry denoting personnel calculation rule QAVR. Rule QAVR calculates the average taxable gross income used to calculate marginal tax on termination payments.
  2. In the fields Maximum number of previous periods and Minimum number of relevant previous periods, enter the number of previous periods and previous relevant periods you want to use to calculate the employee's average taxable gross income.
