In this step, you define or change the rebate amount associated with a particular tax rebate code.

In general, you would only change rebate amounts due to legislative changes in which new or revised values are introduced.

Example

The ATO has changed the sole parent rebate amount and you need to modify the calculation of the sole parent rebate to reflect the change.

Requirements

Before defining new rebate amounts, you must perform the step Create rebate codes.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the values defined by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in previous and current financial years.

Activities

To create a new rebate amount, you:

  1. Choose Edit -> New entries.
  2. Enter a new rebate code, the rebate amount, and rebate period.

To change an existing rebate amount, you:

  1. Flag the rebate code.
  2. Choose Edit -> Copy as.
  3. Enter the new rebate amount and validity period.

Further notes

Any changes must be made in all clients as the table is client-dependent.
