In this step, you define the threshold and coefficient values used to calculate tax.

In general, you would only change these values due to legislative changes in which new or revised values are introduced.

Requirements

Before defining the thresholds and coefficients, you must perform the step Create tax scales.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the values defined by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in previous and current financial years.

Activities

To change the thresholds and coefficients of a tax scale, you:

  1. Select the tax scale with the threshold or coefficient you want to change, and choose Goto -> Details.
  2. Change the threshold or coefficient values to meet your requirements.

To enter new theshold or coefficient values, you:

  1. Choose Edit -> New entries.
  2. Enter the tax scale, the appropriate threshold and coefficient values.

Further notes

Any changes must be made in all clients as the table is client-dependent.
