In this step, you maintain the payroll area and the period for which you want a retroactive payroll run, in the 13UPG feature. The payroll area and period must be:

  • The last period number
  • The year of each payroll area prior to the upgrade

The 13UPG is a new feature that has been added to overcome the limitation created by retroactive processing after an upgrade to Release 4.6B. This feature is processed in the payroll function IF.

Requirements

You must have upgraded from release 4.0B or earlier.

Standard settings

Recommendation

You must invoke feature 13UPG. For further details on maintaing features, refer to Human Resources -> HR Tools -> Features editor in the SAP Library.

Activities

  1. Identify the payroll area/s affected by the upgrade.
  2. Enter the payroll area and the period of upgrade in the 13UPG feature.
  3. Select Feature -> Activate.
